Movies in the Parks returns to Allegheny County for the 2023 summer

Allegheny County has announced the return of “Movies in the Parks” for the 2023 summer season.

Family-friendly movies will be held at nine different local parks. The dates, locations and movies playing are:

June 22: “Encanto” will play at the South Park 100 Acre House

June 29: “Encanto” will play at the Hartwood Acres Mansion

July 6: “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” will play at Boyce Park Four Seasons Activity Center

July 13: “DC League of Super Pets” will play at the Round Hill Visitors Center

July 20: “Minions: The Rise of Gru” will play at Settlers Cabin Moccasin Shelter.

July 27: “Turning Red” will play at White Oak Redwood Shelter

August 3: “Strange World” will play at Deer Lakes Carp Field

August 10: “The Bad Guys” will play at Harrison Hills Yakaon Shelter

August 17: “Space Jam: A New Legacy will play at North Park Boat House Lawn

The movies will be shown at dusk between 8:50 and 9:15 p.m.

Moviegoers should bring blankets or lawn chairs to relax on as they enjoy the show.
