MP Boyko’s family owns $2 million apartment in downtown Moscow

Yuriy Boyko, a pro-Russian Ukrainian MP and former member of the banned Opposition Platform — For Life (OPZZh) party owns an apartment in downtown Moscow, Radio Liberty’s investigative project Schemes reported on Dec. 13.
The apartment has a total area of 220 square meters and is registered under Boyko's wife, Vira. Its cadastral value is RUB 192 million Russian, or about $2 million.

Advertisements for similar apartments in the same building indicate a price of over $11.000 (RUB 1 million) per square meter. The residential complex where Boyko's apartment is located is called Your Club House.
Boyko previously declared the value of the apartment as $73,000 (UAH 2.7 million). The family bought the apartment in 2006.

Two months later, Boyko was appointed Fuel and Energy Minister of Ukraine in the government of ousted former President Viktor Yanukovych.
The Russian property register confirms that the apartment has been owned by Vira since 2006.

On Dec. 12, it was revealed that Boyko and Vira also held $85,000 (7.6 million rubles) in cash and gold in Russia's NK Bank, according to Boyko's 2022 declaration.
