MP&F names former AllianceBernstein executive Kate Chinn as partner

Kate Chinn, a Nashville native and former executive at AllianceBernstein, is joining MP&F Strategic Communications, as a partner, the firm announced Monday.

At AllianceBernstein, Chinn served as the asset management firm's vice president and head of community and civic engagement for nearly four years. Prior to that, she was senior president at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce where her responsibilities included bringing in revenue and planning for Nashville’s economic development campaign, Partnership 2020.

Chinn spent more than 15 years in New York. During this time, she worked on various creative marketing and communication roles, including senior director of marketing for Tishman Speyer from 2007 to 2015 working with brands like Rockefeller Center, the Rainbow Room and Top of the Rock Observation Deck.

“Kate has had a significant presence in this community since returning in 2015,” MP&F managing partner Jennifer Brantley said in a statement. “She has been active in business and civic circles and is well respected by everyone. We are excited to have her join MP&F as she brings close to 20 years of marketing, advertising, creative and community engagement expertise to our team.”

Chinn graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina with her bachelor's in English in 1997. She lives in Nashville with her husband Matt and three children.

Chinn currently serves on the boards of the United Way of Greater Nashville, the Nashville Public Education Foundation and Harpeth Hall School. She's a 2022 graduate of the Leadership Nashville and serves as program chair for the 2022-2023 class.
