MPD looks to be 30% female by 2030

Mar. 24—Mayor Joyce Craig and Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg will unveil the 30x30 pledge on Thursday, an effort to have 30% of the city police department be female by 2030.

According to a police department statement, Manchester police have already signed the 30x30 pledge and will institute low-cost and no-cost efforts to increase women recruits.

Women currently make up 12% of the city police force. The press conference is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the police department.
