WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said officers arrested a woman in connection to the disappearance of a woman in Southwest D.C.

MPD said that 25-year-old Chyna Crawford, of Southwest, D.C. was reported missing on Oct. 26, 2023. Crawford last was seen on Oct. 23, 2023, at about 10 p.m. in the 4000 block of South Capitol St. SW.

Her family told DC News Now back in November that they were concerned for her safety. Her mother, Elisa Crawford, said at the time that it was unusual not to hear from her daughter.

“It’s the hardest thing I think I’ve ever had to deal with in my life,” Elisa Crawford told DC News Now in November. “That’s not only my daughter, that’s my friend.”
