Mr. Bill's Christmas Wonderland display to be featured on ABC Christmas special

Corpus Christi Christmas is set for the national stage.

Mr. Bill's Christmas Wonderland will represent the Coastal Bend this holiday season on ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight."

The show will air on Sunday, Nov. 28, at 8 p.m.

The Cox family made the announcement on Facebook, writing: "While we are deeply saddened that Mr. Bill isn't able to share in this announcement, we know he will be tuning in to watch from above."

The announcement comes just nine days after Bill Cox, the founder of the display, passed away on Nov. 10. Cox led the display for the past 22 years.

The family has no plans on discontinuing the holiday tradition and will continue to to set it up in Cox's honor.
