Never before have I heard Welsh HipHop.. that is until, I was introduced to the sound of Mr Phormula. A Welsh Beatboxer, Looper and Rap artist. Coincidentally, Mr Phormula also has a new album titled, “Voice” which is due for release THIS THURSDAY via digital release, CD’s and limited edition runs of vinyl, available at selected record stores.

Manon Williams Reviews,

The highly anticipated second album by the Welsh Rap artist and Beatboxer features 11 fresh songs, featuring collaborations by Scorzayzee and renowned recording artist, Alys Williams also hailing from Wales!

“Combining Beatboxing, Welsh Classical with a slice of DIY Punk Ethos” - The Jaunty Spiv Blog

If that isn’t enough to intrigue you, then rejoice in the fact that Mr Phormula has created this entire album by means of his own beatboxing talents, using a loop machine to form his own creative sounds, “Voice” is an incredible venture into rap music laced with a DIY ethos that has seen “Voice rely on no instrumental input albeit his own lyrical integrity.

Driven by Mr Phormula’s fixation to produce a seminal album, "Voice” confronts topics from all walks of life, family heartbreak, tragedy, failure but despite drowning in melancholy, Mr Phormula uses these experiences to reinvigorate his sound, igniting an aggression that is heard through “Belly of The Beast” which features the legendary rap artist, Scorzayzee!

“Belly of The Beast” shares a common theme that all musicians would have encountered: Failure but, failure with the potential for success.

“One day it’s productive, next day it’s not.”

“Everytime I climb up, I fall back down”

Lyrics from “Belly of The Beast”
