Pushpika De Silva had her crown forcibly removed
by a former winner who accused her of being divorced
REIGNING MRS WORLD CAROLINE JURIE ANNOUNCING THAT THE WINNER IS A DIVORCEE AND DISQUALIFIED (English):
"I have a small request. As for the Mrs World, there is a rule that you have to be married and not divorced. So, I am taking my first step in that the crown goes to the first runner up."
In a Facebook post, De Silva said she was separated, not divorced
She was reinstated after organizers confirmed she was not a divorcee
