MSI General Corp., an Oconomowoc-based design/build firm, has acquired Milwaukee architectural firm Tredo Group LLC.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Tredo Group LLC, launched by Jeff Tredo in 2016, provided architectural design and facility planning services in the greater Milwaukee area.

Its project portfolio includes key components of the Ballpark Commons mixed-use development in Franklin: an office building and headquarters of ROC Ventures, the baseball stadium structures at Franklin Field, home of the Milwaukee Milkmen and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers, and the Luxe Golf Bays and Hinterhof Biergarten.

With the sale of Tredo Group, Jeff Tredo has been named director of design at MSI General.

Tredo's "extensive experience is a valuable asset to our leadership team," according to the announcement from MSI.

"Likewise, Jeff is excited to partner with our top-notch construction management, estimating and design teams. He foresees growth of MSI General within Wisconsin’s design/build commercial construction industry by combining high-quality architectural design and engineering with proven project delivery," the statement said.

Tredo, a graduate of UWM’s School of Architecture and Planning, has been designing buildings in southeastern Wisconsin for over 30 years.

In 2006, he cofounded Korb Tredo Architects Inc., now called Korb + Associates Architects, and in 2015, he was the firm principal at Rinka-Chung Architecture, now called RINKA.

MSI General was founded in 1957.
