MSP collecting purses for domestic violence victims
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Michigan police are hosting a donation drive for domestic violence victims.
The Michigan State Police Lakeview Post is hosting “Purses with a Purpose” in partnership with Relief After Violent Encounter, a domestic violence shelter in Ionia.
Troopers are looking for donations of new or gently used purses filled with items like Kleenex, hand sanitizer, toiletries, flashlights, journals and slippers.
Those interested in helping can drop off donations between April 3 and April 17 at one of the five drop-off locations:

Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office | 659 N State St., Stanton
Ionia County Sheriff’s Office | 133 East Adams St., Ionia
