Garrison added that students who are selected are both scholars and leaders.

“They’re the leaders in high school, and they’re leaders that we would expect to see on campus. They’re people that in addition to their academic qualifications, highest academic qualifications, they usually hold some form of like leadership position and have been involved, actively involved in service in their community or their school,” Garrison said.

“It’s had a major impact on students’ careers. The first group graduated this last spring, and they’re all fairly accomplished people,” Garrison said.

“Garrison said he expects that to be the case for this batch of students too.

And we’re seeing it as it grows, Typically, like another class that’s coming in this year, we have several students we think it’s going to make a pretty significant impact on their life,” Garrison said.
