Truleigh Scrumptious, a locally-owned cafe, will join the retail lineup at Charlie's Place, a Mt. Juliet commercial center with additional buildings nearing completion.
Charlie's Place is also expected to add a Honey Baked Ham Co. location. If finalized, the business will include a cafe, store and catering operation.
Charlie’s Place is located on the west side of North Mt. Juliet Road, in the center of Mt. Juliet. The development's name honors music icon Charlie Daniels, who lived in Wilson County.
Property owner Judd Sellars plans to expand the music theme by naming two future buildings after Darryl Worley and Tracy Lawrence.
Truleigh Scrumptious will be based in the existing red brick building that fronts North Mt. Juliet Road. Tammi Dyce is the business owner, while husband Randy Dyce and sister Jennifer Paty are partners.
Truleigh Scrumptious will offer sandwiches, soups, salads, sweets, cakes and pies, Randy Dyce said.
The cafe will include a small number of seats, but the business will focus on carryout.
The opening date is tentatively targeted for Nov. 1.
A photographer will utilize space in the building.
