A new Cadillac dealership being built in Mt. Juliet is expected to open later this month and will include sales of the company's electric vehicles.

The dealership is expected to employ about 25-30 workers.

Andrews Transportation Group will open Andrews Cadillac Mt. Juliet on Pleasant Grove Road in The Paddocks at Mt. Juliet. A specific opening date is still pending.

The dealership is being marketed as the first in Tennessee to reflect Cadillac’s next generation retail facility and focus on battery-powered electric transportation, along with selling gasoline-powered vehicles.

"Once the dealership opens, we expect the Lyriq (Cadillac's all-electric vehicle) to (make up) 25% of sales," Andrews Transportation Group President and CEO Nelson Andrews said.

The property is on a little more than five acres and includes a showroom, as well as a service and parts department. Construction started on the new dealership in 2021.

Andrews Transportation Group also owns Andrews Cadillac in Brentwood.

Tesla charging station opens: Will more EV stations follow?

A new Tesla Supercharger station with 11 charging ports is now open in Mt. Juliet, which could be just the start of more electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Wilson County and Middle Tennessee.

The Mt. Juliet station is located at 48 Old Pleasant Grove Road, just off North Mt. Juliet Road and less than a quarter mile from Interstate 40 east of Nashville.

The city believes the charging station can draw electric vehicle users driving through Middle Tennessee to stop and spend money in Mt. Juliet, Mt. Juliet spokesperson Justin Beasley said.

“We will actively try to get more charging stations of this kind to our city as well,” Beasley added.

Hendersonville has also approved a larger scale charging station at the Merchant Pointe shopping center, in front of Aldi on Indian Lake Boulevard.

Fastpace Health: Work is underway on a new urgent care and physical therapy clinic on Lebanon Road, just east of North Mt. Juliet Road — the same intersection where a new Whataburger is being built.

The building will be 7,000 square feet, based on the site plan approved last year. Opening is estimated for mid-to-late summer, according to a company representative.
