Mt. Juliet police arrest 3 wanted men before suspected theft at Lowe’s

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — What started with officers noticing a suspicious vehicle ended with three wanted men being taken into custody in Mt. Juliet, officials said.

According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department (MJPD), the incident took place at the Paddocks shopping area on Friday, April 5 after officers patrolling the area spotted a suspicious vehicle with a suspended tag.

Inside the vehicle, a substance that was preliminarily tested for fentanyl was discovered alongside three men who were reportedly wanted for various charges across Tennessee.

Authorities said one of the men — identified as a 36-year-old man from Lebanon — was wanted in Jackson County for aggravated burglary and criminal trespassing.

Meanwhile, another individual — a 30-year-old man from Nashville — allegedly had an active warrant in Wilson County for shoplifting.

Lastly, officials said a 31-year-old man from Nashville was wanted for failure to appear in Greene County.

According to the MJPD, an investigation revealed that “some members of the group had intentions to steal merchandise from Lowe’s.”

All three were reportedly taken into custody, but it remains unclear what additional charges the trio faces at this time. No other information about the incident was immediately released.
