Former first lady Rosalynn Carter has been diagnosed with dementia, three months after Jimmy Carter entered hospice care, her family shared this week. The Carter Center said Rosalynn Carter “continues to live happily” with her husband at their home in Plains, Georgia. In 1976, the longtime mental health advocate joined Meet the Press to talk about the special community of Plains and her experience hitting the campaign trail.
