MTSU quarterback Chase Cunningham out for the remainder of the season

Middle Tennessee State quarterback Chase Cunningham is out for the season after suffering a lower leg injury in last week's 35-10 win over Southern Miss, MTSU sports information director Mark Owens confirmed Thursday.

That means the Blue Raiders will use their third starting QB of the season against Western Kentucky on Saturday (2:30 p.m., Stadium). Freshman Mike DiLiello, known more for being a runner, finished last Saturday's game after Cunningham left and has the most game action of the remaining quarterbacks.

DiLiello has completed 10-of-15 passes for 94 yards and has rushed 22 times for 118 yards and three touchdowns. Nicholas Vattiato has also seen action, completing both attempts for 16 yards.
