MTV Reveals the 3 New Cities for the Relaunch of The Real World on Facebook Watch

A whole bunch of strangers is about to have their lives taped — and now we know where.

As MTV prepares for the relaunch of The Real World on Facebook Watch, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the three cities where those roommates are about to stop being polite and start getting real.

In the United States, the selected seven will head to Atlanta, Georgia, an as-yet untapped city — and state! — for the series in its previous 32 seasons.

Yes, you read that right: There have been 32 seasons since the show debuted on May 21, 1992, and Eric Nies, Julie Gentry, Norman Korpi, Heather Gardner, Becky Blasband, Kevin Powell and Andre Comeau introduced the world to reality television. The Real World: Atlanta marks the show’s return since Real World: Bad Blood (based in Seattle) concluded on Jan. 4, 2017.

In Mexico, the strangers will be moving into a colorful, neon-filled pad in Mexico City:

And, in Thailand, they’ll be diving into the deep end in Bangkok:

The Real World: Bangkok and The Real World: Mexico City mark the show’s first-ever international, localized versions.

Debuting on Facebook Watch this spring, the reimagined reality series will empower fans through platform tools to shape the action and interact with each of the new seasons. In fact, they’ve already had the opportunity to vote on the seventh and final cast member for each region. (Winners, along with the other six housemates, will be announced closer to the premiere.)
