Are you ready for “Jersey Shore 2.0”?

That's the name of a new series coming from MTV, filmed at a new New Jersey “Shore house,” according to an MTV Entertainment Studios’ new series description, as reported by Deadline.

Details are scarce.

“It’s been 13 years since the iconic cast of Jersey Shore fist-pumped their way into our lives and stole our hearts,” says MTV in the description, released on Wednesday, May 18. “Now, the time-honored tradition continues with a new group of roommates moving into their own Shore house. They may have traded their poofs for plumped pouts and UV rays for spray tans, but when things heat up in Jersey, the Shore is still the place to be to make memories all summer long.”

While the location of the new Jersey Shore house is unknown, we do know it won't be in Seaside Heights this summer. 495 Productions, producers of the “Jersey Shore” franchise, reached out to the borough, site of the original “Jersey Shore” from 2009 to 2012, but they were “advised informally, without any pending application, that there would not be an appetite for any reality show filming activity during July, August,” said Christopher Vaz, borough administrator of Seaside Heights, via email.

Lavallette also said no.

“My understanding is that virtually every show they done is a carbon copy of 'Jersey Shore,' just at different location,” said Lavallette Mayor Walter G. LaCicero. “It's just more kids having fun, but a little too much fun sometimes so we're really not interested in it.”

On Monday, May 16, Lavallette introduced an ordinance that "restricts filming."

The “Jersey Shore” spin-off, “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” has filmed in Point Pleasant Beach and Manalapan previously, although in recent years filming has taken place in locations across the country.

“Jersey Shore Family Vacation” features the series' original cast members, many of whom have become parents.

The “Jersey Shore 2.0” reveal was part of MTV Entertainment Studios' 2022-23 season announcement that includes more than 90 new and returning series on the Paramount Media Networks and Paramount+, including MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, CMT, Smithsonian Channel and Paramount Network.

“Jersey Shore Family Vacation” is one of the returning series. A rep from MTV declined to comment, and 495 Productions did not respond to questions.

The MTV Video Music Awards is returning to the Prudential Center in Newark on Aug. 28.
