How much your favorite Super Bowl food will cost you?

People are stocking up on food for the big football game Sunday. This includes wings, snacks and beer.

News Center 7′s Kayla McDermott went shopping Friday to see how much you could spend on popular Super Bowl party food and drinks here in the Miami Valley.

On her shopping list were wings, cream cheese, beer, soda pop, cupcakes, chips, salsa, and a pizza.

If you have a Kroger card, a bag of chicken wings are on sale buy one get one free. If you don’t, be prepared to spend $20 plus dollars.

McDermott says chips and salsa came in with a price tag of $8.48 and a four-cheese frozen pizza rang up at $10.49.

For those of you making your favorite buffalo chicken dip recipe, remember the cream cheese, which for a two-pack, will cost under $7.00.

Be sure to grab some desserts for the sweet tooth at your party.

A package of football-themed cupcakes will cost almost $9.

Lastly, don’t forget something to wash this all down.

Most parties have some type of beer and soda.

For a case of Budweiser and a thing of cherry soda, it will cost more than $16.

The grand total for all of those items was $73.00, which is below the National Retail Association’s predicted average cost of $85, with a national spending prediction of $16.5 billion.

The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Philadelphia Eagles will play in this year’s Super Bowl Sunday night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m.
