The real estate market is hot across the country, and Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian got in on it last year when they purchased side-by-side mansions in Hidden Hills, California. Now, Dirt reports that Kris and Khloé paid a combined $37 million for their new pads, with the former shelling out $20 million and the latter spending $17 million.

The gated community located in the Santa Monica Mountains region next to Calabasas is dominated by the Kardashian clan. In fact, Kris's youngest daughter Kylie Jenner has a spot there, Kim Kardashian’s $60 million Axel Vervoordt–designed mansion is nearby, and even Kourtney Kardashian's ex Scott Disick nabbed a Hamptons-inspired getaway in the area.

Kris and Khloé’s new homes are apparently still under construction. While it’s not clear how the properties will end up, the mother-daughter pair have distinct design personalities that we guarantee will shine once everything is ready for move-in.

Khloé has confirmed that she doesn’t sit back when it comes to her home. “I was very hands-on in the design process,” Khloé previously told AD about the Calabasas house she designed with Martyn Lawrence Bullard. “I’m obsessed with details, so I can be a bit controlling, but it’s only because I’m genuinely curious.”

On the other hand, Kris is, surprisingly, a bit more trusting. “She said that it’s not necessarily in her nature, but that she’d trust us completely to do what we think is right,” Kathleen of the mother-and-son design team Kathleen and Tommy Clements recalled of their experience working for the mother of six. One thing’s for sure, despite being neighbors, each home will be unique once Kris and Khloé are settled in.
