“Currently around 50 houses in the village of Demydiv remain flooded; this helped to stop the Russian advance on Kyiv,” said Kuleba.

Kuleba recently visited Demydiv and spoke with its residents.
“People are understanding; we’re doing everything we can to resolve this problem,” he said.

On Feb 25, Ukrainian forces blew up the bridge over Irpin River and a dam near Demydiv – the resulting flooding impeded the Russian army’s advance on Kyiv.
