The Ledger-Enquirer has compiled a searchable database of all full-time employees of the Columbus Consolidated Government.

It includes the employees’ annual approved salary for their current position as of Dec. 31, 2021. City government salaries are a public record and can be obtained through an open records request.

The average salary of Columbus’ 2,174 full-time city employees is $45,732.17. The median, or midpoint, salary of city employees is $42,522.48. The median value is not affected by outliers.

The median household income for Muscogee County is $46,408, and per-person income was $26,097, according to 2019 U.S. Census estimates.

Over the same period, Georgia’s per-person income was $31,067 and the median household income was $58,700. In the United States, per-person income was $34,103 and the median household income was $62,843.
