How much do you pay to play? Comparing golf prices, options in Rockford area and beyond
Rockford has always been known for affordable and accessible golf.
It cost kids only $2 to play all year in the 1960s. The price of a season pass has quadrupled in the last 30 years, but with tee times and online bookings it is also much easier to golf now than it was then.
Golfers no longer have to camp out at the course for 3 hours early on weekend mornings to get a tee time like they did in the 1970s.
The Rockford Park District and Winnebago County Forest Preserve offer deals better or equal to other multi-course season pass option in the state, especially for all-inclusive passes that include cart rentals. That doesn't include early season discount offers.
