How much rain has fallen in San Diego County? Here are rainfall totals

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Heavy rainfall battered San Diego County to start the week as the strongest part of the latest winter storm moved over the region.

The slow-moving atmospheric river — nicknamed a “Pineapple Express” — began to shower the county on Sunday, as the greater Los Angeles and Santa Barbara areas were slammed with a heavy downpour. Heavy rainfall arrived in San Diego on Monday evening.

A Flash Flood Warning was issued for North County communities, Fallbrook and Rainbow, on Monday. Other parts of the county were placed on a Flood Advisory, which expired at midnight. A Flood Watch will remain in effect for the county through Tuesday evening.
