Here’s how much rain North Texas can expect this week

North Texas has a chance for rain nearly everyday this week, but how much exactly?

Rain chances begin Monday at 30% and gradually increase through the week until Saturday. The highest chances of rain this week will be at both 70% on Wednesday and Thursday, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth Office.

So how much rain can North Texas expect this week?

“Around two to three inches,” said Allison Prater, meteorologist at the NWS’ Fort Worth office.

The two to three inch estimate is for Monday through Saturday across the Metroplex.

Normally, the NWS’ record keeping site at DFW International Airport records around 2.72 inches of rain in September, Prater said. So far this month, the site has only recorded 0.23 inches of rain.

  • Wednesday — 70%
