How much will it snow? Here's what your North Jersey town can expect

More wet weather is hitting North Jersey this week, and western parts of the state could see some significant snowfall, as an unusually dry winter nears its end.

Despite spring officially starting in a week, some parts of the region could see upward of 6 inches of snow Monday evening into Tuesday morning.

New Jersey recorded its second mildest winter on record, according to a Rutgers University report released Wednesday. The snowfall total was also dismal. The average of three inches this winter was more than 17 inches below normal. It is the second-lowest total on record since the winter of 1918-1919.
