How much snow has Sioux Falls received so far Tuesday?

Winter weather is hitting parts of South Dakota, and with it comes snow. Forecasters predicted the Sioux Falls area would see 1-4 inches of snow with the peak snowfall hitting from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wind gusts were forecasted to develop through Tuesday afternoon.

Jeff Chapman, NWS of Sioux Falls meteorologist, urged drivers to take caution and expect reduced visibility as conditions change.

Here's a look at snow totals recorded Tuesday in South Dakota as of 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Portions of eastern South Dakota, including Sioux Falls, are under a winter weather advisory until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
