First came the cold. Now comes the snow.
Snow is expected to be sweep across New York from Sunday evening to Monday morning. Wind gusts could reach 40 mph.
The system will make its way to the Northeast after it brought more than a foot of snow to parts of the Midwest, snow and ice to the Carolinas and a tornado with 118 mph winds in Florida.
Almost 250,000 million homes and businesses lost power in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. The storm could impact up to 100 million people.
The low pressure is tracking along the coast and the heaviest snows will be in the western part of the state. Buffalo could get more than a foot and a half of snow.
New York City is expected to get less than an inch of snow.
