How much are Wichita-area homes worth? See highest, lowest values by ZIP code
Home prices and home values continue to climb in many parts of Wichita this spring, even as sales slumped in March compared to last year.
Houses in south-central Kansas sat on the market for an estimated six days before being sold last month, according to data from the Kansas Association of REALTORS. March also saw 968 new listings in the area, according to the monthly report prepared by South Central Kansas MLS.
The median sale price was $201,400, up from the $193,400 median sale price from the same month previous year. Overall home sales in south-central Kansas fell 9.7% this March compared to March 2022, according to that same data.
The Kansas Association of REALTORS reports the median active listing price this March was $310,000, compared to $265,875 the previous March.
As for home values, the mid-point home in the Wichita area is worth $239,700, according to data from the Zillow Home Value Index. The average percent change over a year was 7.9%, Zillow reports.
Five Wichita-area ZIP codes have a median value exceeding $400,000, according to the same data. The zip code with the highest mid-point value was 67228, with a median value of $437,301. The other four ZIP codes with the highest median values are:

Wichita ZIP code 67214 had the highest increase in home values this year at 21.15%, while 67230 saw the lowest increase at just a 0.86% difference compared to last March.
