After Mueller hearing, Meyers schools Trump on reporters and truth

Donald Trump has been president long enough to understand what it is that reporters do (and to mischaracterize it multiple times). So why does it still come as a shock to Trump that, during his usual "chopper adjacent q-and-yell" (as described by late-night comic Seth Meyers), a reporter would ask about accusations that his aides lied.

Trump has given flimsy and contradictory answers to a good number of questions about former special counsel Robert Mueller's congressional testimony. But his reply to the few he was asked about potential lies stood out. Perhaps we should no longer be shocked. Meyers schooled the president on all fronts. Take a look at today's Best of Late Night, above, to see how.

Meyers wasn't the only comic who had a few choice words following Mueller's not-so-revelatory testimony last week. Jimmy Kimmel questioned the mental competence of folks on Fox News. And Jimmy Fallon wondered whether first lady Melania Trump wasn't a bit too happy about a potential indictment for her husband.
