Sep. 20—A Muleshoe man is dead, others injured in a Sunday wreck on Highway 70 east of Muleshoe in Lamb County.

Sunday around 5:20 p.m. Apolinario Raymundo, 44, was driving a 2006 Honda Civic westbound with two passengers: Joslyn Rodriguez, 19, and Domingo Ramos, 19, both of Muleshoe.

Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Johnny Bures reports in a news release a second vehicle, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, being driven by Joshua Mendoza, 28 of Muleshoe, was traveling east on US 70 when Mendoza apparently crossed the westbound lane of travel and collided with the Honda Civic.

After the collision, Mendoza's Silverado rolled before coming to rest on its top in a roadside ditch.

Raymundo was later pronounced deceased on the scene. The other two passengers of Raymundo's vehicle were treated and transported by EMS to the Muleshoe hospital.
