Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Springfield post of Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), and Mad River Township were among the crews responding to Interstate 70 eastbound near Snider Road at around 6:10 a.m. for a crash, the sheriff’s office and OSHP dispatch confirmed.

Victims reported minor injuries, OSHP dispatch said. Medics responded and tended to the wounded at the scene. No transports to a local hospital were made, the sheriff’s office dispatch informed.

The crash involved four vehicles: a truck and three cars, the sheriff’s office dispatch stated. Clark County Dispatch saw the truck blocking the left lane and the three cars blocking the right on traffic cameras; however, they could not be certain about the locations of the vehicles right after the crash.

When crews arrived at the scene, they blocked all eastbound lanes beyond Spangler Road, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) confirmed. Officials recommended using alternative routes.

Crews reopened eastbound lanes at around 8 a.m., ODOT showed.

News Center 7 crews attempted to reach the scene, but immense traffic prevented crews from reaching the crash site before it cleared.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office led the investigation into the crash.
