Multicolored eyeshadow is stealing the show at New York Fashion Week

We are only a few days into New York Fashion Week, but the Spring/Summer 2020 shows in the city have already unveiled a clear front-runner in the beauty stakes. Vibrant, kaleidoscopic eyeshadow has been the focal point of multiple shows so far.

Things kicked off with Christian Siriano's dreamlike beauty look, which saw the models sporting washes of pastel blue eyeshadow that blended into sherbert pink hues. A similar approach was taken at Jason Wu, where sunset tones of orange, peach and pink were blended around the eye socket for a glamorous yet ethereal look. Pyer Moss also opted for blooms of vibrant shadow that spread glamorously out towards the temples and onto the cheekbones in glittering, rich colors.

Chromat took a cleaner approach, but still relied on electric colors to catch the eye: models had shades of deep blue and neon green blended underneath their statement eyeliner. At Jeremy Scott, the look was more minimalist but no less impactful, with models sporting dots of shimmering icy blue, clover green or deep red shadow at the inner corner of the eye.
