Multiple crashes slow Monday traffic on I-29

May 15—Traffic on Interstate 29 in Buchanan County was impeded several times on Monday as first responders dealt with at least two crashes on the highway.

David M. Johnson, 33, of Amazonia, Missouri, was driving a Ford F-550 at 2:10 p.m. when he failed to slow down for a vehicle in front, crashing into the towed unit of a Dodge Ram 3500 driven by James B. Martin, 73, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The vehicles lodged together as both came to rest in the passing lane, according to a crash report.

Martin was taken to Mosaic Life Care for moderate injuries.

Earlier in the day, Golda L. Lual, 43, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was driving a Toyota Camry at 10:35 a.m. on I-29 when she lost control and the Camry off the road. She went down an embankment and hit a tree, suffering moderate injuries, according to a crash report.

Lual also was taken to Mosaic Life Care for her injuries.
