The governing body of Piedmont Regional Jail said several employees have been fired, demoted, or disciplined following their investigation to last month's escape of two federal inmates. The findings were discussed during a meeting of the Piedmont Regional Jail Authority (PRJA), mostly in a closed session, but the jail superintendent and authority chair and vice-chair spoke with the media after the meeting.
