Multiple People Dead After 2 Planes Collide In California While Trying To Land
Three people died after two planes collided as the pilots tried to land at a California airport on Aug. 18.

Authorities received reports of the crash just before 3 pm. The planes, a single-engine Cessna 152 and a twin-engine Cessna 340, crashed during their final descent at Watsonville Municipal Airport.
Multiple agencies responded to Watsonville Municipal Airport after 2 planes attempting to land collided. We have reports of multiple fatalities.

A witness and the FAA tells the NY Post the Cessna 340 carrying at least two passengers veered into the wing of the Cessna 152.
The swerve from the larger plane reportedly caused the smaller aircraft to crash into the edge of the airfield.
While there were no reported injuries on the ground, a pet from one of the planes was also killed in the crash.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash. The latest incident is the reported third plane crash in California on Aug. 18.
A 65-year-old man was injured after his single-engine plane crashed on the street before crashing into an SUV on the highway in El Cajon. Luckily, the pilot’s injuries are non-life-threatening.
Following the El Cajon incident, the pilot of an ultralight aircraft crashed upside down on a building at the Camarillo Airport in Ventura County. Unfortunately, the pilot was critically injured, as the NY Post reports.
