FOND DU LAC ‒ Multiple people, including two children, were injured after three crashes early Wednesday in a residential neighborhood in Fond du Lac.

At about 7:14 a.m. Wednesday, Fond du Lac police and fire departments responded to the scene of a crash near the area of East Scott and Roosevelt streets, where they found a 33-year-old North Fond du Lac woman pinned inside her vehicle.

As emergency responders were helping remove the woman from her car, another crash was reported at the intersection of Scott and North Main streets.

Police believe the two crashes were related. The car driven by the 33-year-old woman hit a car around Scott and North Main Street and continued driving east for about a half-mile before crashing into a parked pick-up truck near East Scott and Roosevelt streets.

That parked pick-up truck was then pushed into the path of a third car, creating another crash.

According to the news release, the 33-year-old driver also had two passengers, ages 12 and 14, in the vehicle. The driver and passengers were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was arrested for operating while impaired with a minor along with other traffic violations. Police said speed and impairment contributed to the accidents.

This incident is under investigation.
