LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah (ABC4) — Utah authorities are reporting multiple crashes near the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon on Monday leading to the closure of State Route 210 in both directions.

Utah Fire Authority said they responded to two rollover incidents a few miles apart near the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon. The two crashes both happened around noon on Monday.

All occupants made it out of the vehicle during the first rollover, however, officials said they are still working to rescue the occupants of the second rollover crash.

The Utah Department of Transportation said the area east of the mouth of the canyon closed in both directions due to the crashes and is expected to open around 1:30 p.m.

It is unknown at this time the cause of the rollovers and the condition of the passengers.
