Multiple Waterspouts Spotted Off Mid North Coast of New South Wales
Several waterspouts appeared near Old Bar, a town in the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, on May 4.
Tracey Stevenson filmed the waterspouts, which were confirmed by the Bureau of Meteorology.
“Waterspouts tend to form when two air masses meet under the base of cumulus clouds. When the surface spin is tilted up into the vertical, a visible funnel forms made of tiny water droplets.” the bureau wrote on Facebook. Credit: Artworkn via Storyful
