Muncie area rheumatologist receives state award for community service

MUNCIE, Ind. − Dr. Sarah Perryman, a Muncie-area rheumatologist practicing at Rheumatology of Central Indiana, has been recognized by the Indiana Arthritis Foundation for her impact on the community.

Perryman, a new member on the foundation's leadership board, recently received the Early Influencer Award, recognizing such efforts as serving as volunteer coordinator at the Jingle Bell Run as well as making significant connections in 2022 with sponsors and community members.

The Jingle Bell Run is an annual fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation.

"Dr. Perryman is a great asset, not only for Rheumatology of Central Indiana but for our community as a whole," said Candice Kiser, Chief Operations Officer of Rheumatology of Central Indiana. "She goes above and beyond for our patients. She truly wants to make a difference in this world and has a passion for making others aware of the struggles those with arthritis and other Rheumatic diseases go through on a daily basis.

"The community can only help make a change if they are aware of the issue."
