Candace Owens is outraged again. Outraged. So you know something progressive and inclusive must be afoot. This time it's the cartoon Muppet Babies that’s drawn the conservative commentator's ire for daring to be inclusive of gender non-conforming children.

In a recent episode of the Disney Junior series, Gonzo becomes a princess when the kids attend baby Miss Piggy’s ball. It all begins when Gonzo says they want to wear a dress to the event and Miss Piggy shoots them down, saying dresses are strictly for girls. Kermit tries to comfort Gonzo by saying how cool it is to be a knight, but Gonzo is still upset. Enter Rizzo, the “fairy ratfather” that makes Gonzo’s ballgown and glass sneakers dream come true.

The episode ends with Gonzo revealing that they were the mysterious princess Gonzarella at the ball. “You all expected me to look a certain way,” Gonzo said. “I don’t want you to be upset with me, but I don’t want to do things because that’s the way they’ve always been done either. I want to be me.”

The episode was praised by many in the LGBTQ+ and ally communities.

But not everyone was quite so excited about the inclusion of a non-binary character, and chief among them Owens, who claimed the episode was “sick and perverted.”

“I can’t believe I’m tweeting this but.. they are pushing the trans agenda on children via muppet babies. This is sick and PERVERTED. Everyone should be disturbed by predatory cartoons meant to usher children into gender dysphoria. Bring back manly muppets, anyone?” she tweeted.

Sigh. Fortunately, the internet was quick to clap back and drop some real Muppets knowledge.

This anti-trans and gender variant screed is hardly a first for Owens, who has also previously targeted Harry Styles for wearing a dress on the cover of Vogue.

“There is no society that can survive without strong men. The East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence. It is an outright attack. Bring back manly men,” Owens tweeted at the time.
