New 'Muppet Show' releases first trailer

ABC has unveiled a first look at its upcoming 'Muppet Show' series, with an adult twist.

Following the reveal that a revamped, more 'adult' version of the 'Muppet Show' will be part of its full 2015 fall line-up, ABC has unleashed the first 2015 trailer for the series.

The clip, which shows many of the much loved characters made famous by the original children's series, including Kermit the Frog, Gonzo, Miss Piggy and Fozzie bear.

In the vein of a grown-up 'Muppet Show', the trailer sees Kermit reveal that this new show will focus primarily on the private and personal lives of the Muppet Show characters.

Taking a comedic look 'behind the scenes' the new series brings to light issues such as Fozzie Bear's relationship with a human woman and hints at a love affair that may or may not have occurred between Gonzo and Miss Piggy.

The reimagined Muppet Show is part of ABC's 2015 fall line-up which also includes: Quantico, Dr. Ken and Of Kings and Prophets.
