Downtown Disney in California unveiled a mural in honor of the late actor Chadwick Boseman this week. The gorgeous work, created by artist Nikkolas Smith, shows Boseman doing the Wakanda salute with a young boy in a hospital gown, who is also wearing a Black Panther mask.

Smith, who worked as a Disney Imagineer up until last summer, posted photos of the finished mural and posed alongside it while also doing a Wakanda salute of his own. The artist shared a bit about how much creating the mural meant to him in a touching caption. He noted that it was especially poignant because two of his final works as an Imagineer were working on a Children’s Hospital project and the Avengers Campus. Boseman, known for starring in iconic films like 42 and of course, Black Panther, died late last month at 43 following a private four-year battle with colon cancer.

"To millions of kids, T'Challa was a legend larger than life, and there was no one more worthy to fill those shoes than Chadwick Boseman. I'm so thankful to be able to honor Chadwick's life and purpose in this way," he wrote.

Though Disneyland is currently still closed to park guests, Downtown Disney is open and fans can currently pay their respects to Boseman and visit the mural in person. You can also purchase a print of the work on Smith's website and a portion of proceeds from sales will be donated to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and St. Jude.
