Oct. 14—A show that's been described as a mix between an Agatha Christie novel and the Carol Burnett Show opened Thursday night at the Temple Theatre.

"Murder for Two" is a double-act musical murder mystery with a twist. Two performers play 13 roles in the production, which runs through Oct. 30.

According to a description from the Temple staff, one actor instigates the crime and the other plays all of the suspects — and they both play piano.

"Murder for Two" features JP Coletta as Marcus Moscowicz and Gavan Pamer as the suspects.

Coletta is an actor and musician based out of New York City. Recently, he was seen originating the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in the musical sequel "Million Dollar Quarter: Christmas at Phoenix." Coletta is also the creator and star of "Rock and Roll Piano Man," a musical tribute to rock and roll piano players from Jerry Lee Lewis to Elton John. He is also a member of Actors' Equity Association.

Pamer is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is now a permanent resident of Sanford. His Temple Theatre credits include direction, choreography and musical direction for "Beehive: the 60s Musical," "Big River" and "Anything Goes;" musical direction for "A Mighty Fortress is Our Basement," "A Christmas Carol," "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," "The Last 5 Years," and "Hoagy Carmichael's Stardust Road" (conductor). Additional Temple credits include "My Way" (director/choreographer/Man1), "Always ... Patsy Cline" (director/musical director), "Oliver!" (Fagin), "1776" (John Adams), "Beauty and the Beast" (Cogsworth/choreographer) and "The Addams Family" (Uncle Fester).

"Murder for Two" is directed by Peggy Taphorn. Musical Director is Gavan Pamer, Assistant Musical Director/Dual understudy/Assistant Stage Manager is Huck Borden and the Production and Stage Manager is Debbie Raulerson.

"Murder for Two" runs Thursdays at 2 p.m., Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at www.templeshows.org or by calling the Box Office at (919)774-4155.
