Murfreesboro area high school football: What you need to know entering the season

Spring practice, summer 7-on-7 tournaments and preseason practice are behind us, and the 2022 high school football regular season is here.

Week 1 games begin Thursday, with a matchup of two teams (Hendersonville at Oakland, 7 p.m.) that both reached at least the Class 6A state semifinals last season. All other Murfreesboro-area games will be played Friday.
