Britain’s design museum is reopening

with an immersive exhibition

exploring the history of electronic music

(SOUNDBITE) (English) DIRECTOR AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, DESIGN MUSEUM, TIM MARLOW, SAYING:

"You're seeing an exhibition about electronic music and the span is from Kraftwerk to the Chemical Brothers but it includes a history of the whole technological development of electronic equipment and that's the design core from the beginning of the 20th Century to now. So it's dance, remix, utopianism, futurism and where we are now."

The exhibition highlights connections

linking dance music

to art, design and fashion

(SOUNDBITE) (English) DIRECTOR AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE, DESIGN MUSEUM, TIM MARLOW, SAYING:

“The response has been amazing actually because one of the common responses is it’s the closest I got to going to nightclub or a live performance for the last five months and others love the subject in the different narratives. But I think everyone feels that immersiveness, you know, you do feel you have gone through phases of electronic dance experience when you come out of the show."
