Musgrove Evans Award nominations open

TECUMSEH — Nominations are open for Tecumseh residents to be considered for the next Musgrove Evans Award.

The award's name recognizes the founding father of Tecumseh. The Tecumseh Area Chamber of Commerce and now the Greater Lenawee Chamber of Commerce have been giving the award annually since 1989.

“The purpose of the award is to recognize those persons whose efforts have contributed to the quality of life in the community and made Tecumseh a better place to live,” a news release from the Greater Lenawee Chamber of Commerce said. “Those sending in nominations should be mindful of the criteria necessary to earn the award. Nominees should be a community or business leader through service and/or civic involvement.”

The committee making the selection is made up of all living past Musgrove Evans Award winners.

Nomination forms are available on the chamber’s website at www.GreaterLenaweeChamber.org or can be picked up at the chamber office in Tecumseh at 132 W. Chicago Blvd. The deadline to return the nominations is Friday, Sept. 15.
