Theater year opens with ‘Art’
Barnstable Comedy Club will present the first local theater show of 2022, with Yasmina Reza’s award-winning comedy “Art,” which focuses on friendship and the nature of art. The items are literally sent out to sea at the ceremony that typically has a hot-button political theme, Critchley performing a song and rant indicative of many religious rituals, and the dramatic burning of a discarded Christmas tree on a makeshift boat, sent out into the harbor at sunset.
