Music show May 4 at NHS

Apr. 27—NORWALK — The Norwalk High School Art Department is pleased to announce its Spring Art Show from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in the Art Gallery of the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center at Norwalk High School.

Works from our Advanced Drawing, Sculpture, Painting, and Fibers and Glass classes will be displayed. Please take this opportunity to view our award winners and celebrate the work of our talented young artists.

The Norwalk High School bands would like to invite the community to their annual Spring Band Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center at Norwalk High School.

The concert band, under the direction of Melissa d'Aliberti, will be performing "Chasing Sunlight" by Cait Nishimura, "Pixar Movie Magic" arranged by Michael Brown, and music from "Pirates of the Caribbean" written by Klaus Badelt and arranged by Michael Sweeney.

The Norwalk High School wind ensemble, directed by Will Kish, will be performing Gustav Holst's First Suite in E-flat, "Salvation is Created" written by Tchesnokov and arranged by Bruce Houseknecht, and "Mambo" from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein and arranged by Michael Sweeney.

Both events, including parking, are free and open to the public.
