Binder Park Zoo guests will hear more than the roar of the park's lions Sunday.

Beginning at 1 p.m., Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra musicians will perform three animal-themed mini-concerts as part of an event called "Music at the Zoo."

In the African Village of Wild Africa, the KSO string quartet will perform "Giraffes Can't Dance," a whimsical composition based on the book by Giles Andrae about a giraffe who learns to dance to the beat of his own drum.

At the Dr. Edward Drew and Dr. Pamela Buitendorp-Drew Wolf Exhibit, the KSO woodwind quartet will perform the classic symphonic fairy tale, "Peter and the Wolf."

Inside Zoorassic Park, the KSO brass quintet will perform "Carnival of Animals," a humorous musical suite composed by Camille Saint-Saens.
